Claire Waller is textile artist based in Chicago, IL and Houston, TX. Primarily using knitting and quilting, she creates home-like structures that serve as mausoleums for her own memories and experiences. She works with colorful, exaggerated imagery to evoke feelings of nostalgia and childhood whimsy. Waller is pursuing a BFA at the School of The Art Institute of Chicago where she focuses on fibers and costume design.
